Salient features

Sone canal system is one of the oldest canal systems in the country. It is in operation since 1874.

The Sebari H.E. Project envisages to utilize the existing fall of 3.20 meter on Arrah Branch Canal at 27.4  Km. main Canal for generation of Hydro Electric Power.

Location : Block – Nasriganj, Distt. – Rohtas (Sasaram)

1.         Catchment area of Sone river at the barrage  :           69000 sq.  km.

3.         Power House              

            (a) Installed capacity                :           2x500 KW.
            (b) Design Head                      :           4.50 M
            (c) Design Discharge               :           25.80 Cumecs.
            (d) Annual Energy generation :           7.50 GWH
